Roasted Chickpea Snacks

I don't know about you but snacking is my biggest downfall. I love anything that I can pop on my desk and pick at throughout the day but I usually end up with something in the form of crisps, chocolate Hobnobs or on the extremely rare occasion, some grapes. Since working from home I've been on the hunt for some snacks I can make at home, are totally fuss free and that won't break the bank. Behold, roasted chickpeas. 

Ingredients

400g Chickpeas
Oil/Cooking Spray
Any savory seasoning you like

Method

Preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Drain the chickpeas and place them onto a baking tray and roast them for 30 minutes, shaking once throughout to ensure they're not stuck. 

After 30 minutes, take them out and pop them into a bowl. Coat the chickpeas in your favourite olive oil or spray with a cooking spray of your choice - I've used both extra virgin olive oil and Fry Light, both work perfectly. Add your favourite seasoning and make sure they're evenly coated before popping them back on a baking tray. I love salt & pepper seasoning but you could try garlic, chilli, paprika or anything that takes your fancy. 

Pop them back in the oven for 15 minutes or until they go golden brown and that's it. They're ready to enjoy.
