How I'm Staying Inspired

How I'm Staying Inspired
The current situation has seen most of our lives do a 180 and whilst for that means no commute, working in my PJs and rarely leaving the house, I'm really trying to keep myself inspired.

Whilst I'm usually inspired by beautiful destinations, upcoming trips and the people I come into contact with, now that those things have been taken away, I've been getting my inspiration from different outlets which I thought I'd share.

I don't know about you but I'm a sucker for a magazine. I've had a Cosmopolitan subscription since I was 17 and read it month on month, religiously. Since we can't travel at the moment and after following Condé Nast Traveller on Instagram for what feels like years, I finally took the plunge and signed myself up for their magazine subscription too and so far I love it. It's packed cover to cover with beautiful destinations, travel guides, recommendations and so much more.

Speaking of Instagram, of course a lot of my inspiration comes from there too. I don't just use Instagram as a way to look at pretty pictures and post a few every now and again, it's become a tool in everyday life. I've spoken before about finding our wedding photographer and location through Instagram, always finding new places to see and eat along with things to do.  It's a great way of keeping up with trends both online and off and gives you an insight into what people are talking about.

Planning has become my new favourite thing this year and I can, hand on heart, say that it's made me be inspired by myself. I have the gorgeous Inspired Stories Co yearly planner which has space for writing what you accomplished the year prior and your hopes for the year ahead and flicking back through that when I'm filling in my weekly goals is the best inspiration I can get. It makes me accountable for the things I want to achieve and reminds me to give myself a pat on the back for what I've already done. Every week I'm excited to tick off last weeks goals and make new ones so it's a continuous cycle which I love so dearly.

Planning for the future

It goes without saying that the current situation has got me reflecting on things a hell of a lot more than I would usually - This isn't a bad thing. It's got my wife and I thinking about the future in a final detail, thinking about what we want out of life and what's important to us and to me, that's inspiring in itself.

What's keeping you inspired at the moment?
