Where Are We Travelling To This Year?

Where Are We Travelling To This Year
We always book our travel early on in the year for a couple of reasons. Firstly, with having work it helps ensure I can get all of the time off I need without worrying closer to the time and secondly, it helps us save and budget throughout the year if we know what we've already committed to spending money on in case anything else takes our fancy.

Back in November, I wrote about the places I hoped we'd add to our travel plans for 2020 so I thought I'd bring you up to speed on where we are with fitting those in, other destinations we've included and extra trips we'll slot in if time and money allows.

Paris is a no-brainer for us. We had the most wonderful time there on our honeymoon and so we really wanted to go back and spend some time doing nothing but relaxing. It goes without saying that Paris is an absolutely incredible city and so, seeing as last summer was our first time exploring, we spent a lot of time rushing from place to place, cramming in what we could. This time, it's all about sipping wine in side street cafes, eating delicious local food and slowing down.

Like Paris, we knew that Greece was somewhere we'd be heading back to in 2020. The hotel in Kos that we've visited twice previously finally became available to book in December and so we snapped up 10 days there and then. Not only is it absolutely gorgeous and incredibly relaxing but they've always had a really innovative approach to sustainability so we knew it was the right choice for us this year.

Not somewhere that has ever been on my radar to visit but I've read so many articles recently that feature Krakow and how incredible it is so we jumped at the chance to head there this autumn. We've managed to book our trip to coincide with the Christmas Markets and will likely visit Auschwitz too.

We usually head to Scotland each year to see some family but this year I'd like to tie that in with visiting somewhere we've never seen before. Isle of Skye is the top of my list but I'd also take a few days in Loch Lomond or a night or two in Edinburgh. It's such a beautiful country and considering we've visited so many times, we haven't even made a dent in it.

Reykjavik is still so high on our list but finding the right time of year along with the right price is taking a little longer than I anticipated. We're also toying with the idea of stopping off there en route to Canada or the US so it may be somewhere we think about another time.

I'd love to know if you've visited any of these places or where you plan on travelling to this year.
